Veteran keeper to take on Great North Run again

26th August, 2019

Veteran Toolstation NCEL keeper Jody Barford will once again be taking part in the Great North Run next month, raising money for charity.

The Hall Road Rangers shot-stopper has run the prestigious event for a number of years in aid of Cardiac Risk in the Young and in memory of his mum, Linda.

On his JustGiving page, Jody wrote: "My dear mum was the most generous and supportive lady I knew!!

"So, when she passed away, I decided to do something every year to remember her and try to give a little back and support other people.

"I have done the GNR a few times now and love the challenge and the atmosphere and having connections in the North East - the event always excites me.

"Please support if you can, it doesn't matter how much, as every little will go towards helping people."

Jody is hoping to raise ?1,000 and all at the NCEL wish him the best in the race that takes place on Sunday 8th September, 2019.
