Morgan Resigns As Thackley Boss
5th May, 2011
KoolSport NCEL Premier Division side Thackley have today announced that they have parted company with their manager, Dave Morgan.
A statement from the club reads: "The Thackley manager, Dave Morgan, has advised the club that, due to increasing work commitments, he has reluctantly decided to stand down from his position as first team manager.
"Dave knows that the job of manager requires a huge commitment in terms of time and effort and he would not be able to do the job to the standard he regards as acceptable.
"The committee have reluctantly accepted his resignation and will make a decision within the next two weeks regarding the appointment of a new manager.
"The committee would like to thank Dave and his management team for their work over the last two seasons.
"He introduced new players at a time when the playing staff was severely depleted and moulded them with the existing players to create a team that played attractive and successful football, finishing fourth in his first season, eighth in the current season and reaching the final of the West Riding County Cup.
"Everyone at Thackley FC wishes him all the best for the future and he can be assured of a very warm welcome anytime he decides to return to Dennyfield."
