Ex-Tigers boss now in charge at Swans
30th September, 2019
Former Worksop Town manager Craig Denton has been appointed as the new boss of Toolstation NCEL Premier Division side Barton Town.
Denton (pictured with chairman Mark Gregory) led the Tigers to promotion back into the Northern Premier League last season, and replaces David Ricardo who left the Swans a week ago.
His first game in charge will be Barton's home league game with Eccleshill United on Saturday, having been present to watch the weekend 3-0 victory over Albion Sports at the Easy Buy Stadium.
Denton's assistant will be former Winterton Rangers manager Rob Watson and his coaching staff will be Ian Durnian, James Humphreys and Wayne Thompson.
A statement released on the club's website said: "We would like to welcome Craig and his team to the club and wish them the very best of luck in his time in charge of the club.
"The club would like to thank James Bennett and Ian Durnian for their hard work over the last two games taking charge of the side.
"With regard to James, the club has offered him a position within the club.
"Should James decide not to accept, we would like to wish him all the best and thank him on behalf of the whole club for his efforts while with Barton Town."
