Maspero named as new East Hull boss
21st December, 2020
East Hull have unveiled former Sherburn White Rose boss and Goole AFC first team coach Mark Maspero as their new manager.
He replaces Nathan Doyle who stepped down earlier this month and his first game in charge will be their Boxing Day trip to Winterton Rangers.
The Toolstation NCEL Division One side made the announcement on social media, saying: "We are pleased to announce that Mark Maspero has agreed to take up the position of first team manager.
"Mark will be working alongside two coaching staff which are also coming in to assist him as we look to rebuild the squad.
"Mark and his coaching team are excited by the challenge to keep the club up this season and of course open to all options of players for the remainder of this season."
Meanwhile, chairman Richard Smales has responded to the news of the departure of three of the club's officials, following the resignation of president Kevin Revell, secretary and vice chairman Jason Deyes, and interim manager Andy Watts.
He said: "I would like to place on record my thanks and appreciation for all they have done for the club and fully understand the reasons behind leaving.
"Following these resignations, this leaves just myself as chairman in charge of the club and I will be doing everything possible to make sure we continue this season and build as a football club going forwards.
"We will continue as a club and that is my priority."
