This season, an important milestone will be reached in the KoolSport Northern Counties East League Premier Division.

The 30,000th top flight goal is set to be scored in the 2008/09 campaign.

Since its inception in 1982, the Premier Division has seen the ball hit the back of the net 29,447 times.

That means that the 553rd goal that will be scored this season will break through the 30,000 barrier.

To celebrate this occasion, the League will be handing out a special award to the club and the player who hit the momentous goal.
