NCEL To Back Respect Campaign
22nd August, 2008
The KoolSport Northern Counties East League will be fully backing the FA's Respect initiative.
It was decided at last night's Management Board meeting that the NCEL would throw its full weight behind the proposals to instil more discipline into the game nationwide.
Match officials and assessors have been invited to a training session this coming Thursday so the League can discuss with them the implications of Respect and how they should enforce its directives.
The behaviour of players, management staff and supporters will be under the spotlight whilst the role of each team's captain will also be made more important.
The pre-match Fair Play handshake will also be brought in.
Clubs will be informed of how the Respect campaign affects them in due course.
