Selby Town were one of four KoolSport NCEL sides to book their place in the First Qualifying Round of the FA Cup on Saturday as they comfortably beat hosts South Shields, 4-0.

They were three goals to the good by the 32nd minute thanks to early strikes from Leigh Wood and Dean Welburn before Brenton Leister's spot-kick but them beyond touching distance.

Sean Gorman grabbed the Robins' fourth just after the break to make fully sure of the victory.

Winterton Rangers picked up a fine 2-1 win at Radcliffe Borough with a penalty from Andy Holt and a spectacular late David Ricardo strike from the halfway line earned them the victory.

Steve Howson pulled one back for Borough but it was too late for the home side.

Danny Naylor and Michael Stahlberger put Rainworth Miners Welfare two-up at Stone Dominoes.

Ian Mills halved the deficit for the home side but Rudy Funk's men held on for what was a very good victory.

And, the other winners were Long Eaton United who won 1-0 at home to Rushall Olympic courtesy of a 61st minute strike from Michael Allsop.

Five NCEL sides will have to try again after drawing their ties.

Nostell Miners Welfare and Brodsworth Welfare ground out goalless draws at Warrington Town and Woodley Sports, respectively.

Armthorpe Welfare will travel to Crook Town on Wednesday night having been held 1-1, Liam Muirhead with their equaliser on the half-hour after Dale Sheridan had put the visitors in the lead.

And it was 2-2 in the other two matches that ended all square.

Ashley Allanson and Chibuzor Chilaka struck within a minute for Bridlington Town at the start of their second half at Jarrow Roofing Bolden CA.

That was after Eifion Williams had put the hosts ahead, Kevin Davison added their second on 75 minutes to force a replay at Queensgate.

And, Bottesford had to come from behind twice against Flixton.

Chris Downey put the visitors in the lead only for Christopher Ridley to level but Phil Cutler's own goal on 37 minutes put Bottesford on the back foot again.

However, Phil Jackman found the net just after the hour mark to restore parity for the second time.

Staveley Miners Welfare were beaten 4-0 at Leamington whilst Mickleover Sports lost 3-2 at Shepshed Dynamo.

Shirebrook Town took the lead but went out 3-1 at home to Studley.

In the Premier Division, Liversedge moved up to second in the table, behind leaders Bridlington Town on goal difference, after a 2-1 win at home to Hallam.

Andy Markham put through his own net to give the visitors the lead on 50 minutes.

However, Luke Sherman and Jermaine Moyce both struck in the last quarter-of-an-hour to grab a dramatic victory.

Maltby Main moved up to third after the highest scoring game of the day, a 6-3 win over visitors Eccleshill United.

Chris Wood will have been disappointed to have grabbed a hat-trick away from home and still be on the losing side.

Main's scorers were a brace each for Matt Wragg and Scott Somerville whilst Greg Mason and Simon Hickey also found the net.

Lincoln Moorlands Railway remain rooted to the bottom of the Premier Division after they lost 6-1 at Thackley.
Chris Gray had put them ahead but, after that, it was all Thackley as Karl Wisdon, Martin Brissett, Ross Daley, Kyle Shah twice and Chris Coy hit them for six before half-time.

Remarkably, there were no more goals in the second period.

An Ant Lynam double helped Dinnington Town to a 3-0 win at home to Parkgate, Michael Blythen grabbed the other for the Phoenix Park outfit.

And, Josh Neilsen's 65th minute strike earned Hall Road Rangers a 2-2 draw at Arnold Town.

Scarborough Athletic are top of Division One for the first time in their short history after a Graham Botham hat-trick spurred them on to a 4-0 victory at home to AFC Emley.

New boys Hemsworth Miners Welfare continued their impressive start to the season, moving up to second as a Damion Liddle brace gave them a 2-0 win over visitors Glasshoughton Welfare.

Leeds Carnegie made it fourteen goals in three games as they won 5-1 at home to Tadcaster Albion to climb up to fourth position.

Kyle Hawthorne grabbed the first and last for Carnegie with Alex Cooper, Alex Smith and Scott McGrory converting in-between. Gerard McCargo got a consolation for Taddy who drop to fifteenth.

Pontefract Collieries are one point off the lead in sixth after they beat Appleby Frodingham 4-1 at Skinner Lane.

All Colls' goals came in the first period through Nicky Handley, Craig Rouse, Dean Lackie and Sean Hammonds before Simon Welton got Appleby's goal in second half injury time.

Askern Villa picked up their first ever NCEL win by thrashing hosts Teversal, 6-0.

Curtis Walker and Graeme Severn had them two-up by the interval and then Steve Knifton, Tom McLaughlin, Walker with his second and the Daniel Taylor completing the rout.

Two from Gareth Barlow helped Barton Town Old Boys to a 3-1 win at home to Grimsby Borough whilst Nathan Thomas and Eubico Da Costa earned Yorkshire Amateur a 2-1 victory over visitors Worsbrough Bridge Athletic.

And, Jermaine Manners' injury-time strike sealed a 2-0 win for Brighouse Town at Rossington Main, after Wayne Crossley had opened the scoring on 33 minutes.

Then, on Sunday, Pickering Town became the fifth NCEL side to progress in the FA Cup with an excellent 2-0 win at Whickham.
