Selby Town were unable to close the eight-point gap between themselves and KoolSport NCEL Premier Division leaders, Mickleover Sports, in midweek.

The second-placed side lost 2-1 at home to Dinnington Town who climb to fourth after their win.

A thirteenth-minute goal from Ben Rosser an a penalty just before the half-hour gave the visitors a two-goal cushion that was halved by an Adam Russell strike towards the end of the game.

In the only other top flight game played, Bridlington Town climbed five places to seventh after their 3-0 victory at Brodsworth Welfare.

A brace from the League's top scorer Chibuzor Chilaka after a 22nd-minute goal from Ashley Allanson saw them game over as a contest by the interval.

Bridlington Town finished the game with nine men having had Adam Mountford sent off and then Alex Holmes suffered a fractured tibia after the Seasiders had used all their three subs.

In Division One, Leeds Carnegie remain in eighth position despite a comfortable 4-0 win at home to Brighouse Town.

Scott McGrory and Scott Lawson struck in the first half then a Kyle Hawthorne double in the last fifteen minutes made sure of the victory.

Jamie Smith's seventh-minute goal was enough to give Staveley Miners Welfare a 1-0 win at Worsbrough Bridge Athletic, to move up three places to fourteenth.

Hallam made it through to the last sixteen of the League Cup as they won 3-1 at home to Rossington Main.

Sean Nicholls had put the Division One side ahead on thirteen minutes before the hosts took control through Gareth Clayton, Liam Allott and James Tevendale.

The League's two remaining sides in the Lincolnshire Senior Trophy will face each other in the last four after both winning their Quarter-Final matches, 3-1.

Lincoln Moorlands Railway were victorious at NCEL rivals Grimsby Borough with goals from Adam Buckley, Nick Robinson from the penalty spot and Luke Clifford after Richard Creer had given Borough an early lead.

Winterton Rangers also came from behind to dispatch holders Blackstones at West Street, David Watson, Andy Holt and Lee Mohammed with the goals in the second period.

Scarborough Athletic bowed out of the North Riding Senior Cup with a 4-3 defeat at Stokesley Sports Club.

Dave Thompson, Danny Gray and Joel Hartley grabbed the goals for the Seadogs but Karl Lilley grabbed the winner for the home side on 74 minutes.

Mickleover Sports celebrated their sixtieth anniversary with a specially friendly at Station Road on Tuesday night.

They lost 3-2 to a strong Burton Albion side but it was a good night for Sports with Liam Walshe and Kieran O'Connell getting on the scoresheet.

And, in the BUCS Premier League North, Leeds Carnegie went down 2-1 at home to Leeds University.
