Seadogs Sign Gray And Hoyle
20th July, 2008
Scarborough Athletic have added a former England captain and an NCEL goal-getter as they get ready for the new season.
16-year-old defender Rob Hoyle, who skippered his country at Under-15 level, can play anywhere across the back-line.
Meanwhile, former Tadcaster Albion striker Danny Gray has also put pen-to-paper for the Seadogs.
He will be available for the two mouth-watering friendlies against Bridlington Town and Pickering Town this week.
Gray started last season on fire, scoring 18 goals before an ankle injury curtailed his season in January. He scored in the 2-2 draw at Queensgate against Boro in October.
He will hopefully be joined in the squad next week by fellow striker Ryan Blott, who injured a foot last weekend whilst running in Somerset with employers, Pindar School.
Blott is awaiting news of the seriousness of the injury following a hospital appointment.
