Hemsworth Miners Welfare have secured the transfer of Ross Haywood from Premier Division outfit Eccleshill United.

The KoolSport NCEL newcomers say they are grateful that Eccleshill waived the seven-day ruling allowing them to approach Haywood, who has also played for Winterton Rangers and Frickley Athletic.

A club spokesperson said: "Ross can play up front or down the left flank he has played at this level for a few years now but he his still in his early twenties.

"He can't wait to get started with his new club."
