Railway Aim For Charter Status
13th July, 2008
Lincoln Moorlands Railway have announced that they are working towards achieving FA Charter Standard Status.
A spokesperson for the club said: "This will involve a lot of hard work from everyone involved with the club at all levels, but the benefits are well worth the effort.
"The FA will guide us through the process, which will eventually lead to the Football Club being run in the correct manner from an administration point of view, along with the relevant qualified coaches in place for all the different teams we are currently running.
"There is also the opportunity to engage upon a development plan that will help to encourage the development of youth football in a structured manner with the eventual aim of progressing to the senior teams."
Meanwhile, Railway have two home friendlies for the coming pre-season.
On Friday 18th July, they will entertain Grantham Town, led by former Lincoln United manager John Wilkinson.
Then, Thursday 31st July sees the return of former club secretary Graham Peck with his new club, Gedling Town.
