Race Wins Race for Hallam Job
28th April, 2009
Hallam Football Club would like to announce the appointment of Wilf Race as their new first team manager.
He replaces Ronnie Akers who left the club last week.
He is an experienced manager having been in charge at both Maltby Main and Parkgate in the NCEL and is no stranger to Sandygate having had a spell as assistant manager during the 2007/08 season.
He will be assisted by Kenny Geelan who began his playing career with Sheffield United and was also with Burton Albion, Buxton and Stocksbridge Park before managing in the NCEL himself at Staveley Miners Welfare. He also previously worked with Wilf Race at Maltby.
The club will also be holding its annual presentation night in the clubhouse at Sandygate on Friday 8th May starting at 8.00.
