Regan Departs from Thackley
15th May, 2009
The committee of Thackley Football Club wish to place on record their grateful thanks for the services rendered by departing head coach Sean Regan.
During his two year stint with the club, the former Manchester United and Sheffield United prot?g? cemented his reputation as a creative and innovative trainer.
His decision to seek fresh challenges comes at the end of a season in which Thackley amassed 62 points - a total not bettered in thirteen years.
Said club secretary Christopher Frank: "Sean has played a significant role in the resurgence of Thackley Football Club, introducing lively, engaging and structured training routines and sharing the knowledge and experience gleaned from his UEFA 'A' course.
"We wish him well for the future and readily commend him to any club in search of a talented coach or manager.
"Here at Thackley, we are looking to build upon the spirit, resolve and unity of purpose forged during the past season and are already hatching ambitious plans for the coming campaign."
Added Regan: "I have relished my time at Thackley and have enjoyed a rewarding relationship with the players and committee - but new ventures beckon."
Sean can be contacted at westyorkshirefootballacademy@hotmail.com or on 07811 358216.
