Newly promoted Rainworth Miners Welfare have announced that there will be no increase in admission charges when they compete in the Koolsport NCEL Premier Division next season.

They say it is as a reward for their fans' loyal support through the season.

The Wrens announced this week that they would freeze their charges at the current level of ?4 and ?2 concessions in a division where the vast majority of clubs have a ?5 admission charge.

Secretary Les Lee said: "We are keeping prices at their present level because we want to attract more of the Rainworth public through our gates rather than seeing them driving out of the village to watch other clubs in the area.

"Our last two home matches both attracted three-figure crowds and we are looking for these to be the norm when we play at the higher level, so maybe if we hold our charges down it will not only reward our supporters for their backing this season, but also attract more of the local community through our gates."

Excellent value season tickets, which are valid only for league matches, will cost ?60 with ?30 concessions applicable to juniors, and retired over-60s.

These will represent even better value than last season because there will be 19 home leagues games instead of 18, and of course at the higher level the fare on view should also be up a notch.
